This February, Intequal, a leading specialist in IT and digital apprenticeship and training has been rated a ‘Good Provider’ in its first ever inspection by Ofsted.
The report commends Intequal for their “professionalism”, “well qualified tutors”, the “relationships they forge with learners and employers” and the fact that the majority of “learners pass first-time with almost half achieving a distinction grade and additional qualifications”. They also said that that Intequal’s “curriculum was well-designed to ensure apprentices develop industry-relevant skills and knowledge rapidly.” Ofsted inspectors recognised that as a specialist IT and digital provider Intequal “carefully choose programmes to address local and national skills shortages” that meet the most up to date industry standards.
Inspectors found that apprentices enjoyed Intequal’s innovative mix of learning online and regular visits from their designated pathway planners, rapidly developing new skills and knowledge which increased their confidence and value in the workplace.
Immensely proud of the team’s achievements, Intequal’s MD, Dominic Gill said:
“This is a brilliant result for us as a specialist IT and digital training provider. Ofsted’s feedback throughout their full inspection was very positive about our organisation’s professionalism.
The report highlighted that ‘apprentices make good progress on their apprenticeships’, the majority passing at the first attempt and almost half achieving a distinction grade.
We work closely with employers to ensure our curriculum keeps pace with business needs and were pleased to see feedback from apprentices that they ‘benefit from the relationship the provider builds with their employer’.
It was also reassuring to gain feedback that that we have good practices in place for apprentices to feel safe and understand how to protect themselves from harm which is hugely important to us.
This inspection result reinforced the findings of our own annual self-assessment review. We undertake this to ensure we maintain a good professional standard of education as a private training provider and continue to develop all areas of our organisation to the benefit of all of those we have the privilege to work with.”
