We’ve gathered a list of useful links to help you through your apprenticeship, including safeguarding, mental health support, information on equality and diversity, how to access childcare and tax benefits, and other wellbeing support.

Safeguarding and prevent

The Hub of Hope: Mental health support provided by Chasing the Stigma. Type in your postcode on their website to find local support resources near you.

Samaritans: Confidential emotional support.

Mind: Mental health support.

NSPCC: The UK’s children’s charity protecting young people. You can also call 08088005000 or text 88858.

Homelessness: Housing support from Shelter England.

Government Prevent Information: Prevent duty guidance for England, Scotland and Wales.

Health and safety

The Health and Safety Executive: The organisation responsible for Health and Safety in England.

Travel

Apprenticeship Oyster Card: If you are 18, or over, live in a London borough and are in the first year of an approved apprenticeship, you may be eligible for an Apprentice Oyster photocard.

Childcare

Childcare payment support: Apprentices paying for childcare may be eligible for government support.

Benefits and financial support for families: Help if you look after children or plan to have or adopt a child.
